Deerhill Drive Bridge Replacement over Deer Lake Creek (east of Dixie Highway)

The Road Commission for Oakland County closed the Deerhill Drive bridge over Deer Hill Creek, located just east of Dixie Highway in Independence Township, on November 18, 2024, due to deterioration of the structure. The 48-year-old bridge will be replaced in 2026.

PROJECT INFORMATION:

The project cost is approximately $1.5 million and includes:

  • Removal of the three existing 11.7 X 69" corrugated metal pipe culverts.
  • Replacing with three aluminum culverts, including one 14' X 8'7" main culvert and two 6' X 4' 7" flanking culverts.
  • Reconstruction of the road in the vicinity of the bridge.
  • Asphalt paving in the vicinity of the bridge.
