Avonlea Avenue Bridge Replacement over Huron River Tributary (south of Elizabeth Lake Road)
The 62-year-old Avonlea Avenue bridge over the Huron River tributary, just south of Elizabeth Lake Road in White Lake Township, was closed on June 16, 2025, due to deterioration of the structure. The bridge will be replaced in 2026.

The $1.6 million project is funded by the Road Commission for Oakland County.
The project includes:
The removal of the existing twin corrugated metal pipe 7'-11" span by 5' 7" rise arches.
Replacing with a 23-foot span by 5-foot rise pile-supported precast three-sided culvert.
New headwalls and wingwalls.
Asphalt resurfacing in the vicinity of the bridge.
New guardrails.
