The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close East Commerce Road between Duck Lake and Carey roads in Commerce Township to through traffic on May 19 and 20 to replace four culverts under the road.
The detour for through traffic is Duck Lake Road to Cooley Lake Road to Carey Road back to Commerce Road and vice versa. Residential traffic will be maintained.
East Commerce Road carries approximately 10,500 vehicles daily. The culvert replacements are expected to be complete by the end of the day on May 20. The work is weather-dependent and the schedule could change.
The work is being done on the weekend to minimize traffic impacts.
