The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit allowing White Lake Township to close the Round Lake Road/Cooley Lake Road intersection starting tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 5, through Saturday, Nov. 8, for sanitary sewer work.
During the closure, access to businesses and homes will be maintained.
The detours for the closure are as follows:
- The eastbound and westbound Cooley Lake Road detour is Cooley Lake Road to Carroll Lake Road to Wise Road to Union Lake Road, back to Cooley Lake Road and vice versa.
- The southbound Round Lake Road to eastbound Cooley Lake Road detour is Round Lake Road to Hutchins Road to Union Lake Road to Cooley Lake Road.
- The southbound Round Lake Road to westbound Cooley Lake Road detour is Round Lake Road to Cedar Island Road to Oxbow Lake Road to Cooley Lake Road.
The Cooley Lake Road/Round Lake Road intersection carries approximately 10,780 vehicles per day.
