The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit allowing Pulte Homes to close Waldon Road from Giddings Road to Lapeer Road/M-24 in Orion Township from Saturday, Oct. 25, through Sunday, Oct. 26, to facilitate a watermain connection in conjunction with private development.
The Waldon Road closure is just west of Lapeer Road/M-24. Residential and business access will be maintained east and west of the road closure.
The detour is Lapeer Road/M-24 to Silver Bell Road to Giddings Road, back to Waldon Road and vice versa.
This section of Waldon Road carries approximately 4,620 vehicles per day.
