The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit to Canadian National (CN) Railway to close Joslyn Road, just south of Silver Bell Road in Orion Township, from Monday, Sept. 15, through Friday, Sept. 19, for railroad-crossing repairs.
The railroad crossing is on Joslyn Road between Silver Bell Road and Kinmount Drive. During the closure, business and residential access will be maintained north and south of the railroad crossing.
The traffic detour route is Silver Bell Road to Giddings Road to Brown Road, back to Joslyn Road and vice versa.
This section of Joslyn Road carries approximately 11,600 vehicles daily.
