The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit to Canadian National (CN) Railway to close Joslyn Road, from Silver Bell Road to Brown Road in Orion Township, from Monday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 12, for railroad crossing repairs.
The railroad crossing repair is located between Judah Road and Hopefield Drive. During the closure, business and residential access will be maintained north and south of the railroad crossing.
The through traffic detour is Silver Bell Road to Giddings Road to Brown Road, back to Joslyn Road and vice versa.
This section of Joslyn Road carries approximately 11,600 vehicles daily.
