The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Crooks Road between Maple Road and Big Beaver Road in Troy for road resurfacing work starting Saturday, Oct. 26, through Sunday, Oct. 27.
The work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled. During the closure, access to businesses and homes will be maintained.
The through traffic detour is Maple Road to Coolidge Highway to Big Beaver Road, back to Crooks Road and vice versa.
The road is expected to reopen on Sunday, Oct. 27, after the contractor, Cadillac Asphalt, completes paving. This section of Crooks Road carries approximately 24,600 vehicles daily.
