The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit to allow Oakland County Parks and Recreation and Springfield Township to close Davisburg Road/Broadway Street, from east of Andersonville Road to Hickey Avenue in Springfield Township, from Monday, May 13, through mid-June.
The closure is necessary to complete paving work that is part of the Mill Pond dam removal project that began in late 2023.
Residential and business access will be maintained east and west of the closure. The detour for through traffic during the closure is Andersonville Road to White Lake Road to Dixie Highway, back to Davisburg Road and vice versa.
This section of Davisburg Road/Broadway Street carries approximately 6,000 vehicles daily.
