The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Duck Lake Road, from north of Highland Road (M-59) to Wardlow Road in Highland Township, on Saturday, May 11, to replace a culvert under the road.
The work will take one day, and Duck Lake Road will reopen the same day. In case of inclement weather, the work could be moved to Sunday, May 12.
Access to homes and businesses on Duck Lake Road will be maintained during the closure. The culvert is located just south of Orchard Court.
The detour for through traffic is Highland Road (M-59) to Harvey Lake Road to Wardlow Road, back to Duck Lake Road and vice versa.
The work is being done in advance of the 2024 planned simple resurfacing work on Duck Lake Road, Highland Road (M-59) to Jackson Blvd., which will provide a smooth driving surface.
