Beverly Hills, MI -- The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Baldwin Road between Maybee and Waldon roads in Orion Twp. from 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, through 6 a.m. on Monday, November 5, to replace a culvert under the road (the culvert is located between Thornwood Trail and Baldwin Woods Drive).
In case of inclement weather, the back-up dates for the work are Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. through Nov. 12 at 6 a.m.
The detour for northbound Baldwin Road traffic is Maybee Road to Clintonville Road to Clarkston Road, back to Baldwin Road.
The detour for southbound Baldwin Road traffic is Waldon Road to Joslyn Road to Brown Road, back to Baldwin Road.
Residential and business traffic will be maintained during the closure, though the road will be completely closed at the culvert.
“The closure is being done on the weekend to minimize traffic impacts,” said RCOC Board Chairman Eric Wilson. “RCOC also wants to get this work complete prior to the holiday shopping season.”
The culvert replacement is part of the ongoing widening and reconstruction of Baldwin Road from Gregory Road to Waldon Road.
