The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Quarton Road, Lahser Road to Woodward Avenue/M-1 in Bloomfield Township, on Saturday, Sept.13, to replace a storm sewer crossing under the road.
The work will take one day to complete, and Quarton Road will reopen the same day.
Access to homes and businesses on Quarton Road will be maintained east and west of the closure. The storm sewer work and full closure are located at the intersection of Covington Road.
The traffic detour is Lahser Road to Lone Pine Road to Woodward Avenue/M-1 back to Quarton Road and vice versa.
This section of Quarton Road carries approximately 10,000 vehicles daily.
