The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit to Canadian National (CN) Railway to close Giddings Road, from Waldon Road to Silver Bell Road in Orion Township, starting Monday, Aug. 25, through Friday, Aug. 29, for railroad crossing repairs.
During the closure, business and residential access will be maintained north and south of the railroad crossing.
The through-traffic detour is Waldon Road to Joslyn Road to Silver Bell Road, back to Giddings Road, and vice versa.
This section of Giddings Road carries approximately 2,100 vehicles daily.
