[ARCHIVED] DTE TO CLOSE 12 MILE RD, JUST WEST OF TELEGRAPH RD, ON DEC. 7 THROUGH DEC. 8

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has permitted DTE to close 12 Mile Road, just west of Telegraph Road in Southfield, for pavement repairs from earlier utility work starting Saturday, Dec. 7, at 7 a.m. The road is expected to reopen on the evening of  Sunday, Dec. 8.

 During the work, access to homes and businesses along this section of 12 Mile Road will be maintained east and west of the closure.

The detour for through traffic is Telegraph Road/US 24 to 13 Mile Road to Inkster Road, back to 12 Mile Road and vice versa. 

Once the road is reopened to traffic on Dec. 8, lane closures will remain until late December to allow for continued work utility work.

This section of 12 Mile Road carries approximately 23,500 vehicles daily.
