Motorists should expect delays starting Friday, Sept. 13, on Oxbow Lake Road, from Cooley Lake Road to just south of Elizabeth Lake Road on the Commerce Township/White Lake Township border, for road-shoulder work.
The work is being done in advance of a short-term paving project on Oxbow Lake Road, which includes the Cooley Lake Road/Bogie Lake Road and the Cooley Lake Road/Oxbow Lake Road roundabouts. The paving is expected to start shortly after the shoulder work.
Flaggers will direct traffic during the Friday work. Once paving starts, motorists should expect long delays and are advised to seek alternate routes. The paving work will take several days to complete and is weather-dependent.
In addition to road-shoulder work on Oxbow Lake Road, the short-term project also involves milling (grinding off existing pavement) and paving with asphalt. For more information, visit https://www.rcocweb.org/418/Simple-Resurfacing-Preservation-Overlays.
