The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) is still seeking to hire seasonal laborers for a period of 10-12 weeks at a wage of $17.50 per hour.

The positions provide valuable seasonal employment opportunities and allow RCOC to maximize its road-maintenance program during the late spring and summer months.

"We are excited to welcome new members to our team as seasonal laborers," RCOC Managing Director Dennis Kolar said. "Their contributions play a vital role in supporting our mission to ensure safe and efficient roadways for the community."

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

"Joining RCOC as a seasonal laborer is not only a job opportunity but a chance to contribute to essential services that benefit our Oakland County communities," Kolar added.

Those interested should go to www.rcocweb.org and click the “Careers” button. On the “Current Job Openings” page, find the “Seasonal Summer Laborer posting.”

The posting provides additional job information and the option to apply.
