The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit to Mystic Cove Orion, LLC, to close westbound Heights Road from Lapeer Road (M-24) to Odanah Street in Orion Township starting Thursday, April 11. The closure is necessary to work on sanitary sewer and water utilities for private development.
Access to homes east and west of the closure will be maintained during the work. The detour for traffic is Lapeer Road (M-24) to Clarkston Road to Pine Tree Road to Heights Road to Odanah Street to Kimberly Street back to westbound Heights Road.
Heights Road is expected to reopen to traffic on Sunday, April 21. This section of Heights Road carries approximately 2, 530 vehicles daily.
