Adams Road, Hamlin to Walton Blvd., Planning & Environmental Linkage (PEL) Study

BACKGROUND: 

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), the City of Rochester Hills and Oakland University have joined forces to conduct a study to determine the future of Adams Road, Hamlin Road to Walton Boulevard.

A Visioning Adams Road website has been launched to share information about the study and to receive public input:  https://mksk.mysocialpinpoint.com/visioningadamsroad

The website provides an overview of the process and offers the opportunity for the public and stakeholders to participate in the process.  Additionally, the website includes an interactive map, an online survey and an "ideas wall". Project documents and information about the public workshop are also on the website.  

How is the study funded?

The Adams Road study is funded by a $2 million federal Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant. It will include a Planning and Environmental Linkage (PEL) study and subsequent Environmental Assessment (EA) of the corridor.  RCOC and the City of Rochester Hills are splitting the required local match of $500,000 to complete the study.
