Awards and Recognitions
Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) staff take pride in doing things well and providing the highest level of service possible for the customers we serve (the residents, motorists and businesses that rely on county roads in Oakland County). As a result, the agency is considered a national leader in many aspects of the road industry. In fact, RCOC has frequently been recognized over the years for its work in the form of awards and honors received. Below are some examples of awards or honors received by the agency.
2023:
- American Public Works Association-Avon Road at Dequindre Road, bridge and roundabout. Project of the year ($5 million to $25 million)
2022:
- American Public Works Association - Baldwin Road (Morgan Road to Waldon Road; category of projects between $25 million to $75 million)
- American Public Work Association - North Holly Road (Grange Hall Road to Oakland County limits; category of projects between $1 million and $5 million)
2020:
- Michigan Concrete Association - Baldwin Road (Morgan Road to Waldon Road) Award of Excellence
2018:
- Michigan Concrete Association - 12 Mile Road (Haggerty Road to Farmington Road) Concrete Pavement Preservation
2017:
- Safe and Sustainable Snowfighting award from the Salt Institute (only road agency in Michigan to receive the award)
