Commissioner Gregory C. Jamian was appointed to the RCOC Board on February 5, 2009.

Prior to his appointment to the RCOC Board, Commissioner Jamian spent four years on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners (2002 through 2006); was elected to the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees;and served as a board member of the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission.

Commissioner Jamian is a member of the Board of Directors of the Traffic Improvement Association, is vice president of the Board of the Manoogian Manor (Home for the Aged) and serves on the Board of the School of Nursing at Oakland University. He is a 17-year member of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and was a four-year member of the Birmingham/Bloomfield and West Bloomfield chambers of commerce.

Commissioner Jamian has served on numerous other boards including: the Board of the School of Business Administration at Oakland University, Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG), Oakland Family Services and the Area Agency on Aging 1-B.
Commissioner Jamian's philanthropic initiatives include numerous community fund-raising efforts. He continues to support hospitals, schools, churches and the arts, with the mission of making his community a better place to live.

Commissioner Jamian is a graduate of Oakland University with a BA in economics. For more than 30 years he has been employed as president and CEO of an integrated health services corporation in Troy Michigan.

He and his wife of 37 years, Sandra Jamian, have three daughters.
