Press Release : BALDWIN ROAD REPAIR PROJECT NEAR GREAT LAKES CROSSING MALL EXPECTED TO START MONDAY

Title

BALDWIN ROAD REPAIR PROJECT NEAR GREAT LAKES CROSSING MALL EXPECTED TO START MONDAY

Body

Beverly Hills, Mich. — The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects its contractor to begin work Monday, July 14, on the repair of Baldwin Road from Delevan Street to I-75 near the Great Lakes Crossing mall in Auburn Hills.

The project involves the replacement of approximately 50 percent of the concrete in this section of Baldwin. During the project, which is expected to last until approximately the end of September, the road will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Motorists should expect delays, particularly during rush hours.

Following the completion of this project, RCOC will begin a second Baldwin project involving the complete removal and replacement of the concrete on Baldwin from just south of I-75 to just north of Brown Road. That project is expected to be completed in November.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction between I-75 and Brown Road during the second project.

The projects are expected to cost approximately $1.1 million each. The first is being funded solely by RCOC. The second will be funded with a combination of federal dollars and contributions from RCOC, the City of Auburn Hills and Oakland County general government.
