    • Project cost is $16.5 million funded mostly by federal funding, RCOC, Macomb County Department of Roads, Troy and Sterling Heights
    • Road widening from 2 lanes to 5 lanes of Dequindre Rd. (Long Lake Rd. to Burningbush Dr.)
    • Reconstructed road will include 2 through lanes in each direction and a continuous center left-turn lane and right-turn lanes at major intersections
    • New concrete curbs, curb and traffic signals
    • Significant drainage improvements
    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant crosswalks

  • Phase 1 Start Date:  September 18, 2017
  • Phase 1 End Date:  November 8, 2017 
  • Phase 2 Start Date:  Monday, March 5, 2018

  • Yes, the east half of the 19 Mile/Square Lake Road and Dequindre Road intersection will close on August 10, 2018 through early September to through traffic for intersection alignment and paving.   The detour or traffic is 18 Mile/Long Lake Road to Ryan Road to 19 Mile/Square Lake Road and vice versa. Northbound and southbound Dequindre Road and westbound Square Lake/19 Mile Road will remain open.  

Dequindre Road and Square Lake/19 Mile intersection to close Oct. 17-Nov. 15 for storm sewer work/Opening November 8, ahead of schedule!
